GHE20G0TH1K is the roving club night Venus X started in 2009 with Hood By Air's Shayne Oliver, a deliberately genre- and scene-shattering party that pulled voguers, skaters, club kids, punks, and rappers onto the same floor and insisted goth was never a white subculture. Over roughly six years across Brooklyn and Manhattan warehouses and clubs, its dark, collaged, CDJ-driven sound ('ghetto goth') became one of the most influential exports of 2010s New York nightlife.
