Resident DJ, Born Clive Campbell, April 16, 1955, Kingston, Jamaica; emigrated to the Bronx at 13. Debuted the 'Merry-Go-Round' breakbeat technique at the August 11, 1973 party. His system: two turntables, two amps, Shure Vocal Master PA. Often credited as hip-hop's founding DJ.
