Former cabinet-factory compound in Ridgewood, Queens, co-founded in 2015 by Eamon Harkin and Justin Carter (Mister Saturday Night) with 36 equity investors, an outdoor yard that became a year-round club in 2017 around a custom SBS Slammer analogue system, a deep-listening resident program, and the Nonstop 24-hour format.

Nowadays occupies roughly 6,000 square feet of a 35,000-square-foot ex-kitchen-cabinet factory at 56-06 Cooper Avenue, on the Queens side of the Ridgewood–Bushwick border, just over the street from the Cemetery of the Evergreens and adjacent to a federal Superfund site (the former Wolff-Alport Chemical Company, once designated 'the most radioactive place in New York City'). Eamon Harkin and Justin Carter, who had launched Mister Saturday Night at Santos Party House in January 2009 and then run Mister Sunday outdoors at the Gowanus Grove from 2011 until that space closed in 2013, found the site in 2014 and signed a lease backed by roughly 36 co-investors (equity stakes rather than salaries went to the general contractor, woodworker, metalworker, designer, and architect). The outdoor backyard, then a debris-strewn lot from the defunct factory, opened for Mister Sunday in October 2015; the indoor space followed in late 2017, after a 2017 Kickstarter campaign raised over $100,000 from roughly 900 backers toward the sound system and build-out. A lease renewal (at a 50% increase) secured the venue for a further ten years. The indoor room spans approximately 5,000 square feet with clerestory windows admitting daylight (a deliberate departure from the windowless 'black-box club' model) a flexible-material dancefloor designed to reduce leg fatigue during extended sets, and a DJ booth whose steel deck is reinforced with a marble top and mass-loaded underneath to isolate turntables from the subwoofer horn stacks placed directly adjacent. Both the indoor and outdoor spaces run custom analogue point-source systems designed by Craig 'Shorty' Bernabeu of SBS Slammer: horn-loaded speaker stacks in each corner of each floor, fully bi-amplified with active crossovers and Class AB amplifiers for warmth. The outdoor R.T Series was updated in May 2021 with weatherproof drivers. The venue operates a strict no-phone policy on both dancefloors, provides free water and earplugs, maintains gender-neutral bathrooms and wheelchair access, employs safer-space operatives in red identifiers, and distributes fentanyl/xylazine test strips and condoms. Entry includes a mandatory briefing on harassment prevention and harm reduction; patrons unwilling to engage are turned away. The resident program, described by Aurora Halal as 'one of the first "for us, by us" clubs in New York for my little micro-generation', prioritizes local and recurring figures over celebrity bookings. Longstanding or named residents include Aurora Halal, Avalon Emerson, Ayesha, Batu, Binh, Honey Bun, Introspekt, Kilopatrah Jones, livwutang, Matas, MORENXXX, OK Williams, Powder, RHR, Theo Parrish, Vladimir Ivkovic, and x3butterfly, alongside founders Harkin and Carter. Booking is overseen by Gareth Solan (club director) and two bookers, Kristin Malossi (DJ Voices) and Jada Lorraine (JADALAREIGN). The house financial model is unusually diversified: a Patreon membership tier (~1,627 paying members as of mid-2025, minimum $60/year), revenue from weddings, corporate events, venue rentals, and merchandise, and The Zumbador, a Mexican kitchen operating on-site most hours. The signature programming format is Nonstop, a continuous party running from Saturday 10 p.m. through Sunday 10 p.m. with rotating DJs, breakfast service, and a full food vendor, which debuted in 2018 and expanded to every weekend beginning January 2024. Mister Sunday (daytime outdoor, 3–9 p.m., May–October) has run continuously since the yard opened in 2015 and remains Harkin and Carter's flagship public offering. The Planetarium deep-listening series, begun in June 2016, invites attendees to bring pillows and blankets and lie in silence; it runs as a companion to the label Mister Saturday Night Records (founded 2012), which has released music by Avalon Emerson, Floating Points, Anthony Naples, and others. Nowadays traces directly to the DIY Brooklyn scene of the 2000s and is widely cited as one of the country's most durable and sound-focused active clubs.
