Biography

Seva Granik is a Brooklyn-based party producer and promoter, born in Tashkent, Uzbekistan, and widely cited as a central figure in New York's queer underground for more than two decades, i-D once dubbed him 'the reigning king of NY nightlife.' He is associated with the open-bar listserv MyOpenBar (2005–2009), the queer rave series SHADE (2013–2015, co-created with Ladyfag and often called the first queer underground rave series in New York), the long-running techno party UNTER (2015–2023) and its spinoffs, and later parties including Faggots Are Women (with the poet Kay Gabriel) and Zero Chill (both 2024). In 2025 he co-founded the Queer Nightlife Community Center with Michael Falco.
